Terms and conditions for registered users

Introduction

Registered users are automatically registered with the Archive through their University account and can log in to the Archive interface using their University username and password.

By logging in to the Archive you will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

Agreement

By using the University of Reading Research Data Archive as a registered user, you agree:

• To provide to the Archive your name, a valid email address and other personal data as required by the Archive for processing in accordance with the purposes of its lawful business;
• To permit the Archive to retain a record of your use of the Archive for legitimate administration and reporting purposes;
• To use the Archive in accordance with its policies;
• To permit the Archive to contact you in relation to your use of the Archive, for the purposes of administration and reporting;
• That any information supplied to you by the Archive will be used at your own risk and that you will not hold the Archive liable for any loss, injury or damage incurred as a result of your use of such information;
• That if you are found to have used the Archive in breach of these terms and conditions your permission to use the Archive as a registered user may be revoked

Use of your personal data the University

Personal data supplied by registered users will be retained and processed fairly and lawfully by the University for the sole purposes of Archive business in accordance with the University's privacy policy.

You will continue to be a registered user of the Archive and to supply your personal details to the Archive as long as you remain a registered member of the University and have a University account. You may request the removal of your personal details from the Archive at any time after your University account has been deleted.

Notices

Any notice may be delivered in writing to the email address supplied by you and shall be deemed to have been served when confirmation of receipt is received from your email system. If no reply is received to a notice under this Agreement, your consent to any notified action will be deemed to have been given after thirty (30) days have elapsed from the issue of the notice.
