1. ABOUT THE DATASET ------------ Title: Data supporting 'A cross cultural investigation of authentic leadership in the United Arab Emirates' Creator(s): Bilal Hamade Rights-holder(s): Bilal Hamade Publication Year: 2024 Description: This dataset is based on a survey of senior leaders in the United Arab Emirates. The data was collected during October 2022 using an online survey via Qualtrics. The sample includes responses from 137 senior leaders working in the United Arab Emirates. The survey was distributed online using the Qualtrics platform. The survey was distributed in English. Along with demographic data, it includes survey items to measure leadership, religiosity, and values. The Authentic Leadership Questionnaire (ALQ) (Avolio et al., 2007) measures the leader’s perceptions of authentic leadership using the authentic leadership questionnaire (ALQ). The Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS, Huber 2012) was used to determine the importance of religiosity. Leader values are measured using the 10 universal values identified by Schwartz (1994). This study uses the Short Schwartz Values Survey (which measures the 10 human values (SSVS; Lindeman & Verkasalo, 2005).
