Tracer gas files read me: DayMonthtimestart.xlsx is the file name convention. Files called DayMonthtimestartdrop.xlsx occured when the sensors were continually logging, and the tracer gas decay has been isolated this data. Tracer gas files are named by drop and contain 3 or more workbooks. These are named by the 3 tracer gas sensors used- east sensor, low sensor and mid sensor (see diagram in Layouts_and_diagrams.ppt). This is slightly processed, by adding the matlab timestamp and hours since experiment start instead of the sensor written date due to string difficulties. All graphs are generated by the template and DO NOT represent the final ventilation rate used- they are simply there as a visual aid. Col A- matlab timestamp Col B- Hours since experiment start Col C- Sensor reading Col D- Sensor reading - background (based on sensor calibration values) Col E- Log of Col 4 Graph 1- basic plot of the decay Graph 2- Ln plot of the decay -----East sensor only---- Col F- Calculation of instrument error on the reading Col G- Maximum sensor value (reading + error) Col H- Minimum sensor value (reading - error) ----Some drops---- Drops where the tracer gas filling has been captured have tabs called east sensor (2) etc, where some of the data has been discarded to obtain a more accurate ventilation rate. These ARE NOT the final ventilation rates used, and were used as an estimation.
