This dataset is licensed by the rights-holder under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International Licence: https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/ Raw and processed neutron reflectometry and infrared spectroscopy data for oxidation of galactocerebroside monolayers Supplementary data for publication: Night-time oxidation of a more realistic marine aerosol air-water surface monolayer model – an NR with simultaneous in situ FT-IRRAS study Neutron reflectometry data was collected in event mode - *.raw, *.nxs, *.log, *.txt files containing raw data provided in NR_Rawdata.zip This data was sliced in to reflectometry curves using Script_NRSlicing.py in Mantid The results of this slicing are reflectometry curves provided as motofit-compatible *.txt files in NR_Sliceddata.zip FT-IRRAS data were collected in group or series mode using OMNIC9 control software, - *.spg, *.spa, and *.srs files containing these raw spectra provided in IR_Rawdata.zip OMNIC9 Series was used integrate the relevant peak areas and this data is provided as *.csv files in IR_Intergrateddata.zip The most relevant data for the publication was plotted using Igor Pro 6, which was also used (with the motofit extension) to fit the reflectometry curves - Script_Mixtureplotting.ipf and Script_Pureplotting.ipf are custom Igor functions used to plot the NR data, and Script_Timing.py and Script_NRstitching.py are used to stitch adjacent runs together and set the x-axis correctly All plots, including those that were not used in the publication at all, are provided as part of the Igor Experiment Plots_All.pxp, which also contains a history of all Igor commands used to create them The plots included in the paper are provided (as *.jpeg and *.fit files) as IR_NR_Plots_Published.zip and BAM_Plots_Plublished.zip The plots that are directly mentioned in the paper but not actually included as figures are provided (as *.emf and *.jpeg files) in Plots_Supplementary.zip Plots for other relevant runs that are not explicitly mentioned in the paper are provided (as *.emf and *.jpeg files), along with an index of all runs (as *.xlsx and *.csv files) in Plots_Extra.zip A readme file is provided as Readme.txt
