PROJECT ------------ Title: Robust Assessment and Communication of Environmental Risk (RACER) under the Probability, Uncertainty & Risk in the Environment (PURE) Consortium Dates: 5 October 2015 to 31 March 2017 Funding organisation: NERC Grant no.: NE/J017221/1 2. DATASET ------------ Title: Interviews of Experts in Decision Making: Robust Assessment and Communication of Environmental Risk (RACER) Description: Interviews from winter 2016 to 2017 from a variety of producers and users of natural hazard information, including energy companies, environmental councils, public health, and insurance. The purpose of the interviews was to determine what kind of natural hazard information these sectors use and how they are presented. Results from the interviews informed surveys that were conducted as part of the PURE RACER project. Participants were recruited by snowball sampling through a recruitment email. METHOD and PROCESSING -------------------------- Interviews occurred by phone from 11 November 2015 to 29 January 2016. The interviews were transcribed from recordings of the interviews, which were obtained with the consent of those interviewed. Transcriptions were edited to remove all identifying information.
